Welton Sports AFC are set to take on CW Golden Eagle in their re-arranged Ron Eaglen Cup second round match while Welton S&SC have the small matter of the County Cup semi Final.
As the Social Park pitch continues to be monitored and worked on ahead of the County Cup semi, Mulhall hopes that the efforts of ground staff will not prove to be in vein as forecasters have predicted plummeting temperatures over the Weekend yet again.
"The forecast doesn’t look great for the weekend.” Said Mulhall
“Saturday night looks like being a couple of degrees below so we just have to have our fingers crossed that the pitches are thawed out in time otherwise their will be a lot of rescheduling for me to do.”
With Cup fixtures taking priority the cancelation of this weekends games would be a nightmare for both Clubs with the Ron Eaglen Cup quarter finals that are scheduled for next weekend needing to be put back leading to the cancelling of more League games.
“The knock on effects for the next couple of weekends would be quite serious.” Said Mulhall.”
“That is the worst case scenario though and we will deal with that if it becomes a reality at the weekend.”
Mulhall could have some serious thinking to do after this weekend.
