Welton’s Ron Eaglen Cup quarter final clash against Metheringham has been rescheduled for Sunday February 19th.
The Quarter final was due to take place this weekend but due to the cancelation of Welton’s County Cup semi final against Tap and Spile last Sunday that fixture has been given priority over the Ron Eaglen game.
That could of course all change if the social Park pitch is not playable again this weekend. Welton have already knocked Metheringham out of the Kelly Read cup this season with a far from convincing 5-2 victory at social Park in October.
“the turn for the worse in the weather is really frustrating.” Said Welton Manager Al Taylor.
“We’re really looking forward to both games and it’s unfortunate that it’s out of our hands, all we can do is prepare for Sunday as if the game is going to be on.”
