Taylor hoping for an end to cold snap

Welton S&SC Manager Al Taylor is praying for a let up in the harsh Winter weather conditions so that his side can play their County Cup Semi final this Weekend.

The Socialites Semi Final against Tap and Spile fell victim to the snow yesterday and Taylor hopes that there are no further delays with freezing temperatures forecast for the rest of the week.

“We’re not expecting much more snow.” Said Taylor

“But the pitch would have been to hard on Sunday morning whether it had snowed or not.”

“It’s a game we’ve been looking forward to for over a Month now and we just want to get it played now.”

“I’m sure that they (Tap and Spile) feel the same but it looks like the weathers going to stay below freezing for much of the Week which obviously wont help the pitch thaw out.”

“We just have to cross our fingers that it can be played this coming Sunday as we are in a great run of form at the minute and we want to take our momentum from the win at Ivy forward for the Tap and Spile game.”
