MOH: Socialites sharing goals

Matt O Halloran believes Welton have shown in recent weeks that they do not rely too much on Scott Coupland with a number of players pitching in with goals.

The Welton skipper has been an inspirational figure for the Socialites this term, producing a series of dazzling displays to help them win games.

However, O Halloran realises that one man cannot carry a team and he has been pleased with the way that everyone in the squad has contributed over the past few weeks.

A 17 match winning run in all competitions has propelled Welton to third in the table, two Cup finals and a semi final and it has been a number of different players turning in the big performances.

Luke Clifford netted 4 against Claytons, before goals from O Halloran, Allmond and Craig Cosgrove sealed a 4-1 victory over Nettleham on Sunday aswell as Couplands customary goal in each game.

And O Halloran has now challenged Welton to continue this form and match the successful campaign of 2008/09.

He said: "We know it's not good to rely on just one player. Scott’s one of the best strikers in the world at the moment.

"But I'm sure he'll enjoy sharing the goals with the other players as well .

"Obviously we've got Sam, who's been remarkable over the last couple of games. We've got a lot of players who can change games.

"If we keep it all together like this, everyone seems to be hungry. It looks fantastic for the end of the season."
