NAME CHANGE IN STORE FOR BREWER??

Lee Coupland has once again shocked the footballing World with a very unusual request aimed towards Weltons legendary player and Secretary Mark Brewer. The recent drinking epidemic at Welton has caused plenty of controversy and seems to have quietened down as of late coinciding with Will Carter’s two week break to Dubai. But assistant manager Lee Coupland has today reignited the dispute saying Welton should not have a secretary with the surname “Brewer”.

Coupland spoke exclusively to http://www.wsscfc.blogpsot.com/ “ Its not right. We are just encouraging players to go out there and start drinking. I am trying to bring silverware to this club and don’t want my players to be continually binge drinking. Its irresponsible having such a key figure at the club go by the name Brewer. What next will the physio by called Will Carling? Coach Alan Whisky?? ” Coupland is referring to the Oxford English Dictionary’s definition for Brewer ‘to make ale or beer as an occupation.

We caught up with Welton boss Alistair Taylor for his views “Its farcical” The Scotsman said.

Coupland’s comments will not have gone down well with Welton players and fans who believe Mark Brewer is the man to spearhead the club to glory. “ A name is a name and shouldn’t be changed for anyone” commented Welton reserve midfielder and alcoholic Alex Munn.

We tried to catch up with Mark Brewer himself but he was away on a conference with his work ImpTravel in Prague. It is a strange time for Lee to raise this issue days before Weltons biggest game of the season against Claytons.
