Taylor wont rush Clifford return

Welton Manager Al Taylor has confirmed that Luke Clifford is unlikely to be risked until after Welton return from their annual Premier League darts trip.Clifford missed last Weekends Kelly Read Cup win over Nettleham with an ankle injury and the Scot say’s there is no point rushing him back to early.

“The injury isn’t as bad as we first feared.”

“We’ve got strength in depth to cover for a couple of Weeks and we need Luke at 100% in April when we’ve got some massive games.”

“He’s unlikely to feature at the weekend against Horncastle or Golden Eagle midweek, we might have a look at him for the Jerusalem game depending on how he feels.”

“Every game is like a Cup final for us now and we still mathematically can win the League but that is going to be a huge ask, We’ve simply got to win every game and then hopefully we can go into the Victory game with something to play for.”
