Sky Sports News confirmed late last night, that after their incredible unbeaten season in Division Two Welton Sports AFC have been rewarded with a place in the Lincolnshire Sunday Premier League.

They will battle it out with the following other 11 teams

Shakespeare Athletic
Victory Athletic
Welton S&SC FC
Welton Sports AFC

Club Secretary/welton sports afc joint manager James Mulhall expressed his delight with the news " I am delighted to see the lads rewarded for their hard work last season, but I am well aware off the task ahead. This years premier league is as strong as I have seen for many years and after the farce last year with four teams pulling out, the league have taken steps to bolster the top league with some more reliable quality clubs. I am relishing both playing and managing alongside mark at the top level in what promises to be an great experience for our set of lads which started a new team four years ago in division 5 and have progressed to the prem in record time"

There will be some great local derby's also with Nettleham, Scothern and of course the plum tie being aginst Welton Sports & Social which is sure to be a sell out crowd. Stay tuned for more reaction as the news filters through.
