One match ban for Welton hooligan

A local woman has been banned from Sincil Bank for this weekends Ron Eaglen Cup Final.

A Mrs E Wilkinson, from Welton Lincolnshire, pleaded guilty to a charge under the Football Offences Act 1991 following a reserve game in February.

District Judge Richard Williams did not fine Wilkinson but he issued a banning order for her and her husband stating that she is a threat to public safety when the village side face teams from Lincoln. The pair have been ordered to leave the County for the weekend.

Mrs Wilkinson is of course the wife of Welton chairman Clive Wilkinson who in an emotional interview with www.wsscfc.blogspot.com spoke of his sadness at missing the first of his Clubs three showpiece matches.

“I’m devastated” Sobbed Wilkinson

“I can see why the authorities have taken this step. I just hope that my absence doesn’t lower morale amongst the squad.”

“I don’t want the players to worry about my circumstances, I just want to wish them all the best and let them know that I will be with them in spirit.”

Wilkinson is said to have set up a live satellite link to Sincil Bank this Sunday so he can keep up to date with events.

“We will be watching it from our secret location.”

“Should the lads get the job done on Sunday their end of season bonuses will be substantial. I have 100% confidence in the lads and I’ve spoken to a few of them this week, and I want to assure all our fans they are all completely up for it this weekend and they are all willing to sacrifice themselves in order to win this match.

“If my players play to their potential and leave nothing in the tank then I truly believe their will only be one winner on Sunday.”

“Good luck Boys.”
