Socialites Reserves still in promotion hunt – Boss

Welton Reserves manager Paul 'Scally' Schaer reckons his team are still in the hunt for promotion after victory on Sunday against AFC West End.

Daniel Carlile had put Welton ahead with his 6th goal of the season and Kev Ryan sealed the victory with his 7th of the campaign.

"I said before the AFC West End game on Sunday that we needed to pick up as many points from these remaining 6 games as we can."

said Schaer. "We've done that against two sides on form Woodhall Spa and West End so I have to be happy.

"It's kept it wide open for us and we are still in there. It's going to be a big ask, I know that, but we are in there fighting."

Schaer also will have to deal with the loss of striker Matt Gordon who has been called up to the first team squad for the remainder of the season.

"It could be that we have lost Gordon for the rest of the season," he said.
