It is well documented that Welton are having problems geling their new players and results so far have reflected that but Drabble believes this makes Welton even more dangerous at the weekend.
“They’ve been having a tough time of it at the minute.” Said Drabble
“The players they have at Social Park are all top quality players though and when they do get it right it will be bad for who ever they are playing.”
“Some would say it is a good time to play them but I feel that they may be even more determined to right the wrongs of recent weekends against us on Sunday morning.
Drabble, the younger Brother of former Social Park favourite Joe Drabble and current cult hero James Drabble also said it is a dream come true to finally grace the hallowed Social Park turf.
“I’ve played against Welton twice in my career but never at Social Park.” Explained Drabble.
“The two times we have met have both been Semi Finals at Mulsanne park which obviously are bigger occasions than a pre season friendly.”
“The fact that the game is at Social Park makes it more significant for me.”
“Social Park is a ground I have visited on many occasions to watch my Brothers over the Years and it is always a fantastic atmosphere down there.”
“I am sure it will be a great game and I hope to put on a show for our travelling supporters and I believe I will make a huge impact in the bar after the final whistle regardless of the result."
