Taylors Welton have been drawn away to FVA Jerusalem the side that Welton beat in the Kelly Read Cup final at Sincil Bank on the final day of last Season. This means that this fixture is now Weltons first game of the Season instead of Metheringham at Home in the League.
“It’s not ideal.” Said Taylor
“It’s not the best of draws because when you eneter the County Cup you always look for a home draw or failing that if you’re away from home you want to be going to Grimsby or Scunthorpe.”
“We know Jerusalem well and we know they are a good team and I shouldn’t think they’re all that thrilled with the draw either.
Taylor believes that the fact that this will be the first competitive game for both sides since the infamous Cup Final will not have any bearing for Weltons players.
“It might be an issue for them wanting revenge for the final but to us it is just another Game.”
“We know they will be gunning for us and we expect a tough game but it is a game we are looking forward to.”
