Al Taylor’s men secured their Semi Final berth with a fantastic 4-1 win over Nettleham United yesterday and they have been kept apart from their local rivals in the Semi Final draw.
Cosgrove is excited at a possible final clash with Scothern at Sincil Bank, but he insists they will be fully focused on avoiding an upset against Waddington United and that the Socialites remain focused on the upcoming run of Premier League games, starting with Sundays game against Horncastle Town.
"For the club and for local Sport it (a Welton- Scothern final) would be special," cosgrove told the club's official website.
"For both clubs it would be massive to get the supporters down there for the final.
“But we will not be blasé about Waddington, We can not afford to be blasé about Waddington, Jerusalem were probably blasé about Waddington and they have been knocked out.”
"It's every player's dream to go and play at Sincil Bank and it will be extra special if it's a local derby in the Final and the way we’re playing We've got all the confidence to go to Waddington and try and get through to the final to make it happen.
"We've got a big game on Sunday though which we'll need to compete in and get three points, but when it (the semi-final) comes about we'll be looking forward to it."
Cosgrove admits reaching another cup semi-final provides a boost for everyone at the club and he is confident they can go all the way to the final.
"For myself, it's a massive confidence boost and for the team too," added Cosgrove who’s spectacular goal sealed victory for the Socialites.
"We've been in two semi’s so far this season and won, so there's no reason we can't go there with plenty of confidence and hopefully get to the final."
