Welton Sports manager Mark Daly believes his side are capable of causing an upsets in Sundays Ron Eaglen Cup Semi Final against Fox and Hounds.
The two clubs are separated by just 6 places in the Football League standings.
Welton sports were a Division 4 club this time two years ago but have won successive promotions and Daly believes that shows the squad he has built up has the necessary strength of character to record a famous victory.
"On paper they are favorites ," said Daly.
"We are away from home they will have a big crowd watching but we are confident we can get a result against them like we did against Anglers.
"our group of players have a hell of a lot of belief that one, they can hold this Fox and Hounds side at bay, and two, they can somehow scramble a result.
"Whether it be in 90 minutes, extra-time or penalties, they will be there until their last breath trying to get as much out of the game as they can.
"So it may be worth a pound or two if you fancy a flutter for us to get something out of the game. We are going there with all the right credentials to book a place in the final.
"Fox and Hounds are one of the top division 1 sides and are easily good enough to be in the premier League.
"There are so many things in their favor. The club is in a particularly buoyant place at the moment, casting aside their result in the County Cup semi Final.
"But this is the Ron Eaglen Cup and in a one-off game anything is possible."
The winner will face the winner of Welton S&SC’s semi final against either Claytons or Newton United .
