Warman back for derby day

Al Taylor has confirmed that Leigh warman will return to action for welton S&SC at Scothern on Sunday. Warman had missed Welton’s last two games against Horncastle and Metheringham with personal commitments.

However, Taylor confirmed the centre back had trained all week and would be available at Scothern.

"Leigh is fit," said the Scot.

“It’s great for us to have Leigh back because we are struggling for numbers at the back without him. The back four has done well in the last two games but Ross (Taylor) hasn’t been able to complete a full game and with Leigh not there we didn’t have any defensive cover.”

Welton head over the A46 bidding to continue a 14 match winning run in all competitions and Taylor feels Sunday's game could represent a key moment in the Premier League title battle.

"Playing scothern is always a tremendous highlight of the season," he said.

"It is a very important game for us because if you look at the rest of the season, in the build-up to the second game against FSC Victory this is our last away game.”

“We have to win and that’s what we will be aiming to do but Scothern always dig deep and put out a strong side against us.”
