D-DAY FOR WELTON

Tommorow's Ron Eaglen Cup Final is the biggest game in Welton's recent history, with their only chance to win silverware this season. Having let the league slip away and a suprise defeat in the Kelly Reed semi-final, only Golden Eagle stand in the way of Big Al's 'Golden Generation' getting their hands on a trophy this season. A near-full squad is available to the manager, who can welcome back Tom Bowey, Joe Drabble and Tom Wilkinson. There are no new injury doubts, although Simon Ward is definately ruled out with an ankle injury. The starting line-up is subject of a hot debate as the return of Joe Drabble and Tom Bowey make competition for attacking places fierce. James Drabble will be looking over his shoulder after a recent drop in goalscoring form, whilst Mark Curtis made a low key return to Welton action on thursday night. In fact, the only attacking player who is assured his place seems to be Scott Coupland, who hit both Welton's goals in the midweek defeat to Rustons. The back 3 is likely to remain the same, with Wilkinson keeping his place in goal.

The bus leaves the Social Club at 9.30am on sunday morning.
