Taylor has already attempt to sign Bridge once before, when the striker was still at school, and he believes he would be a superb acquisition for his title-chasing outfit. “I’ve heard a lot about Craig's talents and he is a player who I think would do a fantastic job for us, and would be a wonderful capture,” said Taylor. “He is only 23, he is a hard-worker and is a proven goalscorer in these leagues. With the squad that I have got, his extra goals would be an excellent asset, especially to lessen the burden on Ronnie (James Drabble) in that department. He has held talks with Anglers FC about his future, but given our status in the league and the ambition of the club I am hopeful he will come on board and be part of what I’m trying to achieve.”
It is thought that Bridge was looking to commit his future to Anglers FC but talks over a lucrative new deal stalled, leaving the player free to explore other options.
