WELTON STARS TO FACE THE SACK

Welton S&S manager Big Al has revealed that two members of his first team squad could be facing the sack following their behaviour whilst on tour in York.
The duo were out celebrating teammate Joe Drabble's 22nd birthday at the races in York along with the majority of the squad , but Big Al Taylor has been angered by their post-races antics.
Both star striker James Drabble and centre-back Jaz Dhindsa could be facing the chop following heavy drinking in the Yorkshire city. It is thought that the players, who both featured heavily in Welton's successful season, were drinking throughout the day on a 14 hour binge before finally crashing out at 3am.
"I don't expect the lads to be saints during the post-season, but they couldn't even put their beers down in the car to York," Big Al said in the Welton News. "We got back after the races and the two of them just stood at the bar drinking heavily until they were hammered." The irate Scotsman went on to say "You get these young guns who think they have cracked it and aren't prepared to work and improve and put the hours in. You don't get that with the foreign lads." This is thought to be a camouflaged praise aimed at international midfielder Rachid Begag who, instead of going to the races, was hard at work on the training ground.
This could be the final straw for Drabble who was skating on thin ice having already been repremanded mid-season for drinking the night before a league match. Dhindsa is likely to be punished less severely as it is his first offence but it remains to be seen whether both players remain with the village outfit.
