SUTTON SALUTES SUPPORTERS
Welton Sports & Social winger Peter Sutton has been quick to praise the Welton fans for his encouraging start to the season. The Ruskington born front man has already smashed in 6 goals and has been key in creating other goals for the team so far this season. Sutton, 25, said “The support I have received on and off the field since I joined the club has been amazing. It has definitely allowed me to settle in quicker and has spurred me on during games.”
While Sutton didn’t want to single out any fans he did have this to say “Grandad Clifford has been an inspiration to me with his words of encouragement from the touchline. He is a dedicated fan coming week in week out, home and away, it makes us feel as though we have an extra man on the pitch.”
Sutton also said that his best was yet to come and promised the Welton fans there are more fireworks to come in their quest for silverware this season. The winger will be lining up on the Cowpaddle this Sunday as Welton look to make it 5 out of 5 for the season when they take on newly formed Claytons.
