WELTON S & S F C v JANNEYS ALLSTARS

Welton go into Sundays rearranged County Cup 5th round tie with Janneys Allstars with a full strength squad. Big Al will have a selection headache not for the first time this season for his sides journey to Scunthorpe. Taylor has named a preliminary squad of 15 to travel including new signing Jamie Chesman.

If Welton progress to the quarter finals, the winners of the match between Scunthorpe’s Queen Bess and CW Golden Eagle lie in Wait for Big Al’s men. Although Janneys Allstars play their football in the third tier of the Scunthorpe league, Welton would be foolish to suggest they will have everything their own way. The newly formed Janney’s have won three successive league titles as they have worked there way up the leagues and look on course to secure a fourth as they currently hold a 100% record in there division this season.

“From what I have heard Janneys would easily hold their own in the Premier League, so we must prepare for the game as if we are playing a Premiership side. If we underestimate them we will be punished, no doubt about that.” Al commented from the Spar shop in Dunholme.

Fans travelling to Scunthorpe are reminded that is a 13.30 kick off on Sunday and the game is all ticket, so contact the ticket office prior to avoid disappointment.
