Wilkinson targets Bank glory

Welton midfielder Craig Wilkinson is determined to help the Socialites reach another Cup final after missing out on last years Ron Eaglen final.

A handful of appearances for Scothern last year meant that Wilkinson was cup tied and thus robbed of a place in Allaister Taylor’s side as Welton reached their first cup final for almost 3 decades

"It is a big great day out when you play in Cup finals.” Said Wilkinson

"I was there [at Sincil Bank]. I was watching the game and the atmosphere was fantastic even after a disappointing defeat I went in the dressing room and the feeling was unbelievable all the lads want to be back their this season.”

"I want to repeat that and to win at Janneys Allstars on Sunday. We don’t know a lot about them but you have to play serious and respect the other team.”

"The County Cup is different. It is a big day for Janneys and you have to prove you are better, you have to run as hard as they do and you have to play with the ball because you have more quality. On paper at least.”

"Sometimes teams run a little bit more than us, they run like crazy and it is difficult - but when our quality comes through and you prove you are better, normally it is 1, 2, 3-0.

"So let's see how it happens this time against Janneys. The game will be difficult in the first 20 minutes and you have to play serious and play better than them to score goals."

Welton are likely to be able to recall Rick Ossai in goal against the Scunthorpe based side.
