Hero Ossai loving life with Socialites

Welton goalkeeper Rick Ossai has given boss Al Taylor a massive lift by insisting his long-term future lies with the Village outfit.

Ossai, Weltons first choice keeper, has been linked with a summer move to America.

But Ossai insists he is happy with life at Welton, where he has established himself as a hero with the Stanham stand after a fine debut season and a wonderful display in the Socialites Ron Eaglen triumph.

Ossai said: "I am very happy here. I don't want to leave this club. I love being here and everything about it - the fans, the players, everyone.

"I see no reason why I should leave. I am enjoying my football, I’m winning trophies and I am happy to be contributing towards the cause and for the good of Welton S&SC."

Welton will bid to add the County Cup to their trophy cabinet this weekend and Ossai says winning the County Cup would be the highlight of his career.

“I’ve won many trophies in the past and last Sundays was a special one for me because it was my first for Welton, But the County Cup is the one I want and their will never be a better chance for us than this weekend.”
