Munro has impressed in the last three games after establishing himself in Al Taylors starting XI. The former Plough Boy man has endured a frustrating start to 2012 when he had to settle for a place on the bench in several games.However, Munro is back to fitness and has staked a strong claim for the number 9 shirt scoring 4 goals in his last 3 games.
"Billy has been outstanding recently , for one reason or another he hasn't managed to get a regular starting place over the last couple of months but we all know it’s a squad gamke and he’s getting his chance now," Taylor told the Daily Record.
"But he's been outstanding in training and has been fit which is key.
"The wee man trained every day so when he got his chance he was flying and ready to take it. That's been one of the big turning points in our season.
"Billy’s helped with performances and results - it's been like signing a new player.
"Hopefully he can give us that spark we'll need in a difficult run-in."
