WELTON SET FOR WARREN WALKOVER?

Welton face Scunthorpe outfit Warren Lodge in the F.A. Lincolnshire County Cup Second Round on Sunday without any prior knowledge of them.

Warren Lodge play in the Dee Jays Scunthorpe Sunday League Division One, and are currently sitting in mid-table. One noticable fact is that Warren Lodge have conceded 42 goals in just 5 league games this season and have a goal difference of -35. In fact, only recently they were beaten 15-0 by current league leaders, Red Lion and demolished 17-0 away at Pepperells FC. This, matched with Welton's incredible attacking talents, suggests a goal fest at the Social Club on Sunday, despite Warren Lodge coming off the back of a good 2-1 win over 2nd from bottom side Winterton Rovers last weekend.

Although complacency is a risk, it seems Welton will face a lot lesser test than they are used to in the Lincoln Sunday League. This, coupled with Welton's confidence after beating Stags, has led some bookies to put the ball firmly in Welton's court.

Best bets are from Drabbrookes.com, giving you 1/3 Welton win and 5/1 James Drabble first goalscorer.

For those wishing to attend, Kick off is at 10.45am at Welton Social Club (Welton Park) on Sunday 4th November.
