Metheringham forward Gio Viscomi claims not much has changed at Welton since his departure from the Socialites almost three years ago.
Gio swapped Welton for Waddington in the summer of 2006 after expressing his dissatisfaction at playing a reduced role under boss Al Taylor. Sadly for the Italian this moved turned sour and he has now been forced to rejoin another of his former sides Metheringham.
But the Italian hair dresser is still a fan of Weltons attacking brand of football.
He told the Metheringham weekly: "Their playing style is still the same but that's normal because Al is still in charge.
"It is a team which is always on the move. They play two or three touch. They are also a team with spirit."
Welton have a much younger side than Thursday nights opponents but Viscomi is not convinced that will necessarily be an advantage for the home side at Social Park on Thursday night.
"Physically, they ended last weeks game better than us," he added.
"But young players also lack experience. That's probably their failing."
“I still have many close friends at Welton and Carter (Will) and I often share a Peroni or 2 on a Friday night.”
“That’s maybe why he always seems to let me score against them” Joked the Italian.
