
Social Reserves stormed to the top of the table before Christmas and looked set to go all the way in the Jock Mitchell Trophy before a horrendous mid winter blip saw them drop as low as fourth in the table before recovering to win the league on goal difference on the last day of the Season.
"It will help us," Ottewell told the Welton News. "The spotlight was on us throughout last season, we became known as the biggest club in the division and maybe that pressure got to us and we believed our own hype a bit?
"Hopefully other clubs in Division 3 will get talked about and we will be allowed to quietly go about winning games.
"Our experience will stand us in good stead during the campaign. The majority of us have played at a higher level. For the ones who haven't played at this level before, it is a great opportunity for them to show what they can do."
