The Welton boss may have been busy working at the Spar shop in Dunholme, but Taylor has not wasted any time in strengthening his squad.
Long-term target Jason Tinkler was signed from GE Rustons before they went into insolvency and confirmation of the arrival of Oliver Furness came on Thursday in what is understood to be a £10 plus deal.
Taylor though, fully intends to bring in more talent, while the matter of the future of captain Neil Stocks, remains to be sorted one way or another.
With GE Rustons and Ruston Sports both folding in the summer the market is flooded with top quality players.
The Socialites have been linked with many of these players through out the Summer.
"Jason and Oli can be an outstanding additions to our team, but it is not over, we are still open to buy," Taylor told the club's official website.
"We are still on the market for players all over the pitch because competition for places is always good for a team challenging in the top Division.”
The majority of the Welton squad have now returned to pre-season training ahead of the Socialites first pre season friendly against Lincoln United Reserves.
Taylor has also moved to allay fears over the fitness of his son Ross.
The Scot, who missed the end of last season because of injury, has been troubled by an achillies problem throughout last season has now returned to full training.
"We need to check it to see if we have to do something, but no, it is not a big problem," Taylor said
“He looks fine and ready to go.”
