no concerns for Coupland

Welton midfielder Scott Coupland is not worried about the club's start to the new season.

The Socialites have yet to record a win in their opening two fixtures of the campaign and have suffered defeats to Lincoln United reserves and Plough Skellingthorpe.

HoweverAl Taylors men’s picked second half fightback on Sunday is a huge step in the right direction and Coupland is convinced that Welton will continue to improve.

"There is no panic, that is the message," Coupland told the Welton News.

"There are 2 games left to get ourselves in shape and nobody is worried that we have not won either of the first two games.

"Performances have been ok and anyone who watched the game will know what we can do.

We just need to keep going; if we have a bit more luck things will change for us.

"We have had massive chances in the first games, which shows that we are doing something right. And that will change as well, because we have players here who can score goals, not just up front, but in midfield as well. We are not worried about that, there is no panic here."

“It might take the new lads a while to bed in but they definatley will improve us.”
