Socialites up the ante for unnamed striker

Welton chairman Clive Wilkinson has confirmed that the club has increased their bid for an unnamed striker.

Welton have already stunned the footballing World with the signings of Jason Tinkler, oli furness, Joe buttler, Craig turner and there latest marquee signing Jack McGovern but Wilkinson has confirmed that Welton are chasing one final signing.

Wilkinson told the Daily Telegraph: "We have made an improved offer for a player and are waiting to hear the outcome of it. Negotiations will be ongoing this week."

"Alot of people have been surprised with the amount of signings we have already made but I am trying to give Al (Taylor) all the tools he needs to mount a serious push for silverware this Season."

Meanwhile, Welton boss al Taylor has dismissed speculation that new goalkeeper craig turner is considering buying out his contract and immediately moving away from social Park before he has even caught a ball.

“There is absolutely no truth in the rumour.” Said Taylor

“I’ve spoken to him and he is excited and looking forward to playing for Welton S&SC.”
