Reserves bosses Scally and Daley breathed a sigh on relief when the results of Carlile's X-Ray showed no break.
The defender injured his foot in the first half of last weekends encounter against Jerusalem Reserves making a heroic last ditch challenge. Despite playing the remainder of the game, Carlile's foot later swelled up to the size of a melon and was admitted to Lincoln and Louth A&E on Monday evening for an X-ray. A severe twist was the prognosis, and much elevation and handfuls of ibuprofen was the Doctors orders.
The news was warmly welcomed by the managerial duo, who are already with talismatic midfielder Tom Bowey and Stu Sawyer, and with Carlile rated at 80% for the weekend, a selection headache could now have been avoided.
