Confusion still reigns supreme as to where and when the eagerly awaited Cup Final between the Socialites and Seven Seas will be but Coupland says it would not bother him if it was played on a council pitch.“It is still the biggest game of the season where ever it is played.” Said Coupland
“It will still be two great teams playing each other whether it’s played at the Cowpaddle or at Glamford Park.”
Recent County Cup finals have been staged at Lincoln City’s Sincil Bank stadium but their remains a doubt as to whether Sincil Bank will again host the showpiece game.
Other possible grounds include Scunthorpe United’s Glamford Park, Grimsby Town’s Blundell Park and Boston United’s York Street amongst others.
“I really don’t think it matters if it’s not at Sincil Bank.” Said Coupland.
“It’s obviously easier for us to get to but that is the only advantage for us playing there.”
“It would be nice for a massive game like this to be played at the best possible ground but we will still be facing the same team where ever it is played.”
