All eyes in Welton will be glued to www.wsscfc.blogspot.com this evening for the world exclusive Ron Eaglen Cup Semi Final draw that could see Welton S&SC and Welton Sports AFC clash for the first time.
Welton Sports joined Welton S&SC in the draw with yesterdays 4-0 win against The George Market Rasen, The Socialites already booked their place in the semi’s with victory over Metheringham the previous weekend.
The two Social club sides will be joined in the draw by Fox and Hounds Hykeham and Newton United with Newton United arguably being the plumb draw.
Welton S&SC Manager Al Taylor said due to the nature of the draw’s in previous rounds he is expecting a tough draw.
“Who ever you get in the Semi Final’s of a Cup competition are going to be tough so in that respect it doesn’t matter who you get really.”
“It’s a strange situation to be in this time around because even if we are drawn away we will be playing at home if we get Welton sports.”
“It’s been a strange competition this Year because the top sides have been drawn together all the way through so we are expecting a tough draw again.”
