Taylor praises linesman inclusion

The management teams for both Welton S&SC and FSC Victory have both praised the decision of the Lincs FA to appoint official League Linesman for next Wednesdays Premier League title decider.

Steve Fisher and Simon Swain have been appointed to help referee Ady Jones ensure that the fate of the Premier League title should not come down to a contentious offside decision.

“It’s the correct decision.” Said Welton Manager Al Taylor

“It is a crucial game and it’s a sensible decision to have unbiased officials.”

“Whenever we send our own linesman out he goes out there with the intention to call decisions fairly but it is human nature when you are involved with the side that a linesman will go the way of his own side if there’s a bit of doubt and I’m sure that goes for 99% of Sunday league linesman.”

“It’s a tough job and I honestly think their aren’t many linesman that go out there to deliberately cheat but this removes any doubt over biased officiating.”

“When the stakes are so high it would be very tough for a linesman connected with either side to say yes that ball crossed the line for example because that decision could cost their side the League.”
