Simon Says: Show Me The Money

Simon Clifford has shocked Welton S&S by handing in a transfer request and sending out a clear 'come and get me' plea to champions GE Millers Arms.
The free-talking Welton defender told the Welton News that his decision was made up after the Ron Eaglen cup final.
"My decision is not football, it is purely based on money. I just want to be earning at the highest level and I believe that lies playing somewhere else." Clifford said. "At the Ron Eaglen final I had to watch as the Millers Arms lads arrived in their Civic Type-R's and their Golf GTI's and we had to make do with a mini bus. It hurt."
Clifford is thought to be annoyed that his brother, Luke, was handed a lucrative new contract at the end of the season along with several other stars and demanded an explanation for manager Taylor.
"Having met with the chairman (Paul Brewer) and the gaffer (Al Taylor), I have decided that my future lies elsewhere. To have ambition is one thing, but it needs to be backed up by money otherwise its just words" Clifford said. "There are clubs interested but it lies in Welton's hands. Managers want to keep their best players but my decision has been made and nobody could persuade me to change my mind unless I get a big big offer."
