Angered Stocks won't quit Welton

Under-fire centre-midfielder Neil (Storky) Stocks is not looking to leave Welton, the Carlton centre residents agent confirmed on Tuesday,

Stocks was stripped of the Welton captaincy for last weekends pummeling of Waddington United after publicly making critical remarks about the team and questioning their training methods.

He has since been linked with a move away from the Social, with Newtoft Terriers and Welton FC possible destinations, but agent Al Sawyer has dismissed reports his client wants to quit the Socialites.

"Neil doesn't express himself and the Welton media take advantage of that," Sawyer told local paper the Lincolnshire weekly.

"They haven't missed a chance to do that ever since his bad-mood gesture last week at training when he trained on his own, and they envisage him leaving Welton. That is wrong."

Stocks,26, was dropped from Welton's starting eleven for last Sunday's 15-1 win but came on to score and is now expected to be recalled to the starting XI for Sundays crucial Premier League clash with FSC Victory a game in which he is also expected to regain the arm band.

And Sawyer predicted Stocks will come back better then ever.

"He has taken the criticism and has already moved on, he proved that by getting pissed with me after the game" Sawyer added.

"Anyway, Stocksy is never better than when he has his back to the wall."
