Dhindsa – It’ll be hard to resistReformed Welton utility man Jaz Dhindsa admits his will-power will be tested to the max when he descends on Leeds this weekend.
The Welton players and staff members look set to make the most of their weekend off as they travel north to celebrate the birthday celebrations of Dhindsa and club legend Tom Bowey this weekend.
And Dhindsa, who has resisted the temptation of alcohol since May, admits it will be hard for him to turn away the vast amounts of alcohol presented to him this weekend.
Speaking exclusively to http://www.wsscfc.blogspot.com/, Dhindsa said: “It won’t be easy to stay sober this weekend and I just hope I don’t get put under too much pressure to drink.
“It has been a while since I overindulged but if ever there was a reason to have a few quiet ones, then this weekend is certainly it.
“I have established myself as a first team regular since Rossco unfortunately broke down at Hunters Leap and I fell like letting loose this weekend.”
However, despite his recent form, the Reepham Toft resident was quick to voice his frustration at not finding the net yet this season.
“I’ve had my chances, but I’m just lacking that Johan Elmander –esque composure in front of goal,” Dhindsa admitted.
“I could have scored a double-hat-trick against The Peter De Wint on Sunday but my finishing was woeful in truth.
“I have an uncanny knack of scoring in the big games though and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before the goals come thick and fast.
Dhindsa finished off an as always entertaining interview by giving his predictions ahead of the weekend.
“First to bed – Will Carter, he loves to sneak off unnoticed
First to be sick – T. Wilks, he will just edge out The Bow
Last home – The Bow – he’ll get lost
Most likely to be arrested – The Bow – he has previous
To score first in the Bolton v Liverpool match on Saturday lunchtime – Johan Elmander’s a threat but I can see Gary Cahill rising early doors.”
