SNOOKES: I WILL BE BACK WITH A BANG

Welton Sports & Social defender Joe Snookes has spoken out on his frustration of being suspended from football for the last 4 weeks. Snookes, 22, was given a straight red card for a bad tackle in Weltons league game against Claytons just over a month ago. The sales negotiator has now finished his suspension and is raring to go ahead of Sundays rearranged cup clash against CV Golden Eagle.

“Its certainly been a frustrating time for me” said the Sleaford born centre half.

“I think what they say about how we learn from our mistakes is very true and I hope I will be a better player for it!”

“I’ve never been a good watcher and can’t wait to pull on a Welton shirt again and start playing. I know it won’t be easy to get back in the side, but all I can do is train hard and put in 100% on the pitch and make it hard for the gaffa not to pick me.”
