R.A.D's travel tips

After Weltons last away day fiasco where Welton were lead to the wrong pub by their foolish chairman Clive Wilkinson, Some one has been in touch with us here at wsscfc.blogspot.com to try and ensure that such farsical scenes will never happen again.

That man is non other than Richard Drabble chairman of the Welton Sports and Social supporters club. Richard the floor is yours……

Hello and Welcome to my new section. Every time Welton are on the road I will give you the Welton public all the information you need to know from travel arrangements, Post match drinking information and even whether or not to take a coat with you. Never again will you be lead astray by that blithering idiot, Clive

This week we shall be making the trip up the bypass to play FVA Jerusalem in Skellingthorpe village pitch number 1, the journey should take around 20 minutes depending on your starting destination. Any one wishing to stop off at a Mcdonalds on the way to the game your best bet is probably the Mcdonalds near Blockbuster video/ Sainsburys on Tritton Road, Even then you should be alright leaving at around 10:00. This should see you arrive nicely in time to find your spot in the away end to which we have been allocated 37 tickets. Should these sell out Jerusalem probably will not sell out their full allocation so anyone unable to stand in the away end should find a space in the home end with a minimum of fuss.

R.A.D’S post match tipple

Anyone who is not heading straight back to the Social Club to watch Cardiff v Arsenal is in for a real treat as there are two magnificent real ale pubs in Skellingthorpe village. The official team party will be welcomed back to the Plough Inn for post match hot food and a selection of Ales available at a reasonable price. Alternatively there is The Stones Inn which again has a magnificent array of real ales to choose from, But take heed as their will be no free food on offer. My only other helpful tip reagarding a post match beverage is not to stop off at The Wildlife pub on your way back to the bypass as you will not be greeted by a friendly smile and hot food, You are more likely to be greeted by a flying glass and a cold shoulder.

R.A.D’s weather forecast

I have been in contact with my friends at the Met Office and they have advised that showers are likely on Sunday morning so you may need to bring an anorak or Umbrella but temperatures are expected to be a fairly mild 7 degrees Celsius, The wind will be coming in from a south westerly direction at a speed of 15 mph with gusts as high as 27 mph.

I hope to see you all their on Sunday morning to get behind the lads.
