The Socialites face a League decider against Peter Nobles star-studded Victory team on Wednesday night knowing that their opponents only need a draw. But, while the odds may be stacked heavily against the Socialites, Carter remains convinced their destiny is in their own hands.
He said: "As a team, we know exactly what we have to do - we have to go out and perform and make sure we have got no regrets.
“We can’t worry about our opponents for these next four fixtures because with Victory, Seven Seas and even Scothern you never know who they will have playing for them, We just have to focus on ourselves.”
"Overall, in the campaign itself, we haven't lost away from home and that has given us a lot of confidence.
"The manager has instilled that into us because the performances away from home have certainly been good and that's something we can take into Wednesday also.
"It has been a decent campaign for us - but it will mean nothing if we don't produce in these 4 games.
"We are in the League to win it and Wednesday night will decide it."
