The run down fields on the edge of the fishing Town have been transformed from a dilapidated block of changing rooms into a bright and bustling carnival of football.
A huge police presence in and around Grimsby acts as a visible reminder of the concerns surrounding the game regarding crime and violence.
But organisers insist every possible measure has been taken to ensure fans' safety.
Mounted officers and heavily armoured vehicles with water canons are on show to deter any fans hell bent on causing trouble.
Shops on the Cleethorpes sea front have been preparing for the arrival of Welton fans for many months and the locals are also delighted that the team of Premiership superstars has chosen to base itself near their town.
Fish and chip Shops, bars and stall-holders near the stadium have been hoping to cash in on the big spending supporters with many selling flags, hats and colourful merchandise.
Socialites fan Jon Clifford, from Welton said:
"The atmosphere is really building and everyone is really enjoying themselves. The locals are friendly and it looks like it is going to be a great Weekend."
