Al Taylor has called on Welton S&SC to use the misery of their Ron Eaglen Cup final on Sunday as motivation for future glory.
The Scot has seen his side overcome numerous setbacks over the years and he hopes his current crop of stars can use the defeat as a springboard for the future.
"Of course we're disappointed, there's no other way you can feel," explained Taylor.
"It's part of football. You have to deal with the disappointment, and this club has used it as motivation many times.
"These young players will feel disappointed tonight but they'll have to cope with it and go on with their careers.
"Our results in the last few years have been outstanding.”
"It wasn't a good start to the game. We expected to try and control the game by getting control of possession but we were awful in the first half.
"When you're not at home and you're 1-0 down, you have a job to do. The opportunities we had we didn't take them and that was the story of the game."
“But we have to be big and pull ourselves together ahead of Sunday.”
“It’s a game we’ve been waiting for since 2009 when we lost to Milan in the County Cup final.”
“There’s a lot of lads still here that played that day which is credit to them and credit to the way Welton S&SC conduct ourselves.”
“The lads that are still here from that game against Milan have recovered from setbacks before and I’m convinced they will do me and the supporters proud at the weekend.”
