Welton S&SC have completed the signing of Ruston Sports winger Oliver Furness. The signing is weltons second of the week following the capture of Jason Tinkler from GE Rustons.
Welton manager al Taylor told the club's website: "This is another fantastic signing for us, and I am very pleased oli has joined us, he is a very good player, he has electric pace.
"Everyone knows Oli is a player that we have admired for a long time, and we would like to welcome him to Welton Sports and Social.
"He has played at the top level with Ruston Sports and I am sure he his pace and skill will be very important for us."
A fee has not yet been confirmed by the club but reports earlier this week suggested the deal could be worth £26.
That would take the club's spending this summer beyond the £60 mark having also completed a £10.50 deal to make Sam Allmonds loan move from Ploughboy a permanent deal and manager Al Taylor believes only a couple more new faces are required.
“Oli and Jason can both play anywhere going forward and our attacking options are really good adding those two lads to the likes of Billy (Munro), Scotty (Coupland), Craig (Cosgrove) and Luke (Clifford) we have lots of options."
“The squad is important as I believe our lack of options cost us the League last Year.”
“We are still looking to improve the squad but I am delighted with the business we have done so far.”
