Mole doesn’t join Raith Rovers!

Welton Reserves stella Captain James Mulhall has laughed off confusion that he has joined Scottish Irn Bru Division 1 side Raith Rovers after headlines saying ‘Mole joins Raith rovers’ confused Mulhall with striker Jamie Mole who joined Irn-Bru First Division side Raith Rovers on loan until the end of the season last week.

The 21-year-old who struggled to hold down a regular place in the Hearts squad after enduring a season marred by injury has joined forces with former Jambos coach John McGlynn at the Active Nation Scottish Cup semi-finalists.

Mulhall saw the funny side of the confusion though.

“I actually read the headlines myself in the paper” said Mulhall

“I must admit I had to do a bit of a double take as I thought oh God Dalys got rid of me!”

“A lot of people only read the headline and I was inundated with calls from Welton fans begging me to stay.”

“I opened the door on Sunday morning to get my paper and my bottled Milk and there was a huge crowd on my front lawn with banners they seemed pretty mad that I was leaving.”

“I reassured them all that they had got there wires crossed and playing in yesterdays friendly will hopefully squash this whole episode altogether.”

“I would also like to wish my name sake Jamie all the best at Raith Rovers.”
