"It is a real coup to attract one of Lincolns top clubs," Weltons operations manager John Stanham told the club's official website.
"I am sure it will create a lot of interest among our supporters and in the city generally."
Welton have targeted a better standard of opposition for this seasons pre season friendlys as assistant Manager Lee Coupland believes that last Years poor preparation cost Welton the League title.
“We lost our opening two games last Season and we were always playing catch up from that point.” Said Coupland.
"We prepared poorly last Year there is nothing to be gained from beating teams 9 and 10 nil for three or four games before you play your first League game."
“Playing against decent opposition pre Season should have us firing on all cylinders by the time Metheringham come to Social Park for the opening game of the Season.”
