things take a TURN for the worse

Welton S&SC boss Al Taylor has revealed keeper Craig Turner is likely to miss a considerable part of the season because of an ankle injury.

Turner was carried off in Lincoln Uniteds game on Saturday at Ashby avenue, and taylor admitted the immediate outlook is bleak.

“He was rushed straight to hospital and at first we thought it was a break broken ankle.”

"But after X rays it seems it's ankle ligament damage," Taylor told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

"Which at the moment looks as though it will keep him out for a while, but how long we don't know."

“We’ve got a strong squad though and there’s a number of options available to us for Sundays game against Burtons.”
