Carter relishing Wong return

Welton full back Will Carter says he is looking forward to returning to the Wong this evening for the Socialites game against Horncastle Town as he has fond memories of the Wong.
Carter scored his first goal for Welton as a blonde mulleted 20 year old 6 years ago the last time Welton played at the Wong.

“I remember it well.” Said Carter

“It was 1-1 at the time and I’d gone up for a corner with 10 minutes to go and the ball fell nicely for me on the edge of the area and I smashed it in to the bottom corner.”

“You always remember your first goal for a Club although I have to admit I remember very little else about that game apart from being horrendously hung over.”

Carter is all to aware that Welton need to be at their best tonight to beat Horncastle who are loitering near the foot of the Premier League table but Carter feels that in name sake Will Carter Horncastle still carry a big threat.

“We don’t take League positions into account.” Said Carter

“It will be a difficult game for us, they’ll have the crowd behind them, It’s going to be a cold wet and windy night so the conditions could play into their hands because they’ve got Will Carter up front who holds the ball up well and they can play off him.”

“It’ll be a good game and it’s one we’re looking forward to because we’re all really enjoying playing at the minute and we all want to keep our good run of form going.”
