Stocks: Lets build on win

Neil Stocks has stressed Welton must build on their Kelly read Cup win and not allow it to distract them from their other aim this season.
The victory over Scothern last night ensured the Kelly Read Cup will be back at Social Park for a fourth consecutive season but Stocks feels the win has to be the springboard they need to go on and win the County Cup.

"We have achieved something now but there is a big target for us still,

"It would be great to go on now and do well in the County Cup final, that is what we want to do."

Stocks was asked whether manager Al Taylor, who tried to keep his emotions in check, had enjoyed winning his record breaking fourth Kelly Read.

"I am sure it means a lot to him," he added.

"This season isn’t over, but inside I am sure he is delighted."

Defender Joe Snookes was pleased the club were able to end their Sincil Bank hoodoo.

"It was nice to win. “

"This is what it is all about, it is what we work for every single day.

"It is always sweet, I don't think you can say it is extra-sweet.

"We have a big job on Tuesday to try and beat Seven Seas but we have a trophy now so we will have something to show for our efforts.”

"It is football isn't it? So we have to believe that we can get a positive result
