Midfielder Luke Clifford has agreed a new one-year deal with Welton, which will keep him at the club until 2009.
The 20-year-old joined Welton from Cherry Willingham last summer and made 29 first-team appearances in his first season at Social Park. He told the club's website: "I always wanted to stay so it's so pleasing to get everything sorted out. "It was nice to play so many games last year and now we'll be looking to push on and make next season a success." Welton boss Alistair Taylor has now secured the services of all three of his players who had reached the end of the current deals. He said: "Scott Coupland, Mark Curtis and now Luke have accepted their new deals and that's a lot better than the situation we had here last year. "Luke had an excellent season and he'll be looking to build on that now - I am delighted he's staying with us."
