Welton hope striker Scott Coupland will return to Social Park a better player as they confirmed his return from an extended summer break in Jamaica.
The North Lincoln based club had previously announced they had decided to give attacker Coupland an extra two weeks off due to his summer cricketing commitments.Welton boss Alistair Taylor said he felt the extra break would allow Coupland to come back a better player, fitter and stronger and minimize the risk of burn out.
"Hopefully, he will come back with a few goals and assists for us, Some may have questioned my decision to allow Coupland to miss the two opening games against tough opposition but I still had faith in my squad to get the results," he told Welton news.
"I want our quality players to be on form and, hopefully, when Scotty comes back, he will do this."
The Cherry Willingham born joiner first joined the club in 2007 from his home village outfit, Cherry. He has scored 38 goals in 30 appearances for the Social Park side, including two in the crucial league win over Golden Eagle in 2007.
Meanwhile, Taylor will be without Ross Taylor, Joe Drabble and Craig Cosgrove for this weekend's trip to Rustons. The club are also still awaiting international clearance for striker Ed, who signed on loan from Scottish side Bravehearts Athletic last week.
