
With shares in all the world’s major banks plummeting over the last few days, Munn has been hit more than most by the economic downturn.
The soon-to-be-laid-off HSBC employee has been left counting the cost of booze filled trips to Falaraki and almost every British Isle city and now can barely afford his match-fee.
The economic crisis has already seen two famous Wall Street names, Lehman Brothers and brokerage Merrill Lynch subject of a $50 billion buyout by Bank of America.
And it has now been revealed that Munn’s employer, HSBC, have joined the list of firms on the brink of disaster and the 23-year-old showman is now in total disarray.
“I can’t put how I feel into words,” sobbed an inconsolable Munn.
“I knew things were bad, but when my boss explained the situation I was amazed at the financial repercussions – I’ve lost everything.”
Munn has raked up debts in the region of £36,000 after adopting a playboy lifestyle at Keele University from 2004-07.
Despite his monetary problems, Munn continued to involve himself in every social activity going, and even at this moment the Welton poacher is rumoured to be in the social club with one of his many drinking allies - Leeds
What the future now holds for Munn is unclear, with his job, lovelife, goalscoring prowess and now wallet, non-existent many are doubting if there is anyway back for the showman.
