one goal apiece from highly-rated strike trio Peter Sutton, Scott Coupland and Luke Clifford crowned a great team performance from the Social. The win enabled them to leapfrog Claytons and go top of the table, but Carter said: "Although it is nice to make it three wins out of three, league tables don't interest me at this stage of the season. Let me see the league table in May.

The team as a whole needed to play well and I had no doubts we would win if we played to our potential. We have got enough quality in our dressing room to beat anyone in our division if we are at our game."
Midfielders Neil Stocks, Tom and Craig Wilkinson were once again three of Welton's main men in midfield and Carter reserved special praise for the midfield generals
"For me Tom Wilkinson was the catalyst with those surging runs through the middle. I told him in the warm up 'we need you to give us a spark' and that is what he did," added Carter. "Craig and Stocksy also did well in the middle. When you have got Neil and Craig in the middle breaking up play and two lads on the flanks like Luke Clifford and Sam Gordon supplying balls to Sutdog and Scotty to score the goals we’re always dangerous going forward. I also think that as a defensive unit Me, Snookesy and Dhiny are becoming stronger with every game we play together at the back, when you put all these ingredients together then it is a good recipe for the rest of the season”
When asked about James Drabbles relegation to the subs bench Carter had encouraging words for his former landlord.
“I was a little surprised to see Ronnie on the bench at Rustons. I know he hasn’t found the net this year yet but I honestly felt it was just a matter of time before he did. Ronnies a tough character and I’m convinced he’ll respond positively to being left out and I’m 100% sure the next time he gets a start he’ll prove what a great player he is.”
